Yes. The Marketing and Sales division has a number of departments: Customer Service, Advertising, Communications,and, of course, Sales and Marketing.

Operations is made up of Manufacturing, Materials,Shipping and Distrubution, MIS, R&D.

Right. Now, keep in mind that the directors often compete with each other to be in good standing with the CEO.

I guess it would be helpful to make your division look as good as possible in the eyes of the CEO.
